I would kiss you if I could,
but can’t, and won’t and shouldn’t ever
For doing that would not be clever.
I’ll think about it though, pretend
For nothing’s worse than saying never,
I would kiss you if I could.
I’m going to want to ’til the end,
Perhaps a small one, like a feather
Would not be wrong, I wonder whether
I would kiss you if I could.
